A Woman’s World: Sometimes I Am Perfect

A Woman's World: Sometimes I Am Perfect

Some days a woman is full of uncertainty. Some days she is that anxious woman and mother she wouldn’t like herself to be. Some days she is the shouting mother, the uncouth cook, the not so fab looking lady, or simply the desperate housewife. But sometimes, she is perfect.

Oh, yes! Perfect! She is a happy woman again. She loves her makeup, her dresses, her heels… She loves her kids, her husband, her home. She loves herself. Now, at this very moment, she is the perfect woman and she knows it.

Am I perfect? Sometimes. How do I know? I can feel it and I don’t care what reality actually is.

I am perfect because…

1. I am the light-hearted smiling mummy again, the one my son loves so much.

I’ll play with him, I’ll be excited about Chickaletta being just found by Paw Patrol (Oh, boy! Really?), I won’t tell him a word about the gigantic mess of toys. Today, I’ll be a little girl again…

I am tired of being the bad scolding mother. I am tired of worrying if I do things right. Are you sick of hearing the ‘Am I a good mother?’ question all the time? OK, you have heard it from me too (many many times), but not today. Today, I am the perfect mother because I’ve got rid of my insecurities and it feels so good.

2. I am the refined chef who has just created the perfect family dinner.

What is so special about roasted meat, Caprese salad, and a cheesecake? Nothing. Unless they are all your family’s favourites and you have put so much love into their preparation. That makes me perfect. Again.

The cheesecake… I usually need linseed for the base and raw honey for either the base or the filling. You could find these healthy ingredients (and much more) onย Buy Whole Foods Online. I was so pleased to see that they had raw Bulgarian honey. ๐Ÿ™‚

3. My house is so clean and tidy. I am the perfect housewife!

Well, not really. Dust is a bastard and I hate it to the core. The laundry basket is never empty and there are only three people in this household, for goodness’ sake! Not to mention the remnants of food under the table, the pieces of Play-Doh stuck to the carpet (I have a love-hate relationship with Play-Doh, it’s fun and restores the silence at home for some time, but it could be so hard to clean), and the traces of permanent marker on the walls.

But today, I’m done with all these homemade evils. At least, I did what I could. Yes, I am perfect!

4. I managed to apply that eyeshadow quite well. Eventually!

I like my face today. Believe me, this is a huge achievement. I am far from being a makeup artist. Anyway, today I look perfect. Because I feel perfect.

By the way, I love the eyeshadowย range by Catrice Cosmetics. Their products are amazing.

5. Today, I am the perfect companion.ย

I am patient, compassionate and understanding. I am funny and jovial, the embodiment of joy. Haha, this was funny enough in itself. But sometimes, I am that amiable woman. Honest. All right, I am also the Devil. Often. And not the one who wears Prada. But today, I am lovely and perfect.

Today, I choose to be the perfect woman. The perfect mother. The perfect version of myself.

Today, I choose happiness and this is what makes me perfect.

We are women, we deserve it. Be happy, be perfect!

Gorgeous post. I love the last three lines. I choose happiness too. I’m not perfect but each night I go to bed and think I did my best today. And that’s all I can do. P.s. Love your name – it’s my daughter’s middle name ๐Ÿ™‚ #SharingTheBlogLove

Attitude is everything when it comes to having a positive opinion of yourself – it’s so easy to listen to your inner critic, but so rarely helpful. I love your positive attitude here – you sound pretty perfect to me! Thanks for joining us again at #SharingtheBlogLove

I definitely know if I wake up and feel good and positive then I care less, but I know that I only too often have the wrong attitude and this makes me think that I am less than perfect. You have such a great attitude, I could learn a lot. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x
